In the vertical applications, Software Mind SA has completed and is developing a platform for the verification and protection of Internet users’ electronic identities – DataPatrol for British company Garlik. Software Mind SA is the primary technology supplier for Garlik. Services offered by Garlik are the first offer of this sort worldwide, aimed at countering the rising wave of electronic identity theft and use for financial fraud. Electronic Identity Protection Platform is applicable in the following segment. electronic payment instruments, personal data protection services, bank customer service, insurance companies, Internet service providers.
WeKnowIt
As part of the collective intelligence area, Software Mind SA participates in a consortium of ten international firms and research centres executing the WeKnowIt project commissioned by the European Union. The company is thetechnological leader in the project, where two solutions will be realized that demonstrate the possible application of the techniques and tools developed: Emergency Support System and Groups Action Support System.
TheEmergency Support System supports employees of services and ordinary citizens in emergency situations. The system collects data from different sources (email, SMS, telephone notification). Automatic, multi-dimensional analysis and classification of signals helps to control the mass of information in a time of danger. Data that is aggregated, complete and free from information noise can serve the services employees, as well as the population affected by an emergency situation (such as informing about the available escape routes, nearest hospitals, etc.).
Group Action Support System helps make group decisions based on materials generated by the group members and third-party materials. The aim is to use the collective expertise for private, commercial and public purposes, as well as to support the dissemination of information about the activities of the group.
The line-up of the consortium executing the project includes such international corporations and renowned research centres as: Vodafone Panafon - Hellenic Telecommunications Company S.A. (Greece), Center for Research and Technology Hellas (CERTH) (Greece), The University of Sheffield (United Kingdom), University of Karlsruhe (Germany), The Sheffield City Council (United Kingdom), Brno University of Technology (Czech Republic), University of Koblenz-Landau (Germany).
